Did you think about what you would do with your puppy if something goes
wrong during the surgery? You are skating on very thin ice. How would
you
control bleeding, restrain the puppy or did you ever use anesthetics?
If
you consider only the time and money involved you and not just the risk
to
the animal or yourself it would be a certain "win/win" to take the dog
to
the vet. Trepanation by non-qualified persons is something I reserve
in my
mind for a 3rd world war situation when all social systems have broken
down.
Your garden variety of carbide bit is not going to get the job done. As
for
your self maybe you should consider saving some money so that you could
present yourself as a volunteer for elective trepanation at our next
clinical investigation in a neurosurgical center. I always look for the
best value to continue this research and for all previously trepanned
folks
they consider that it was a good buy and the outcome was perfectly
sensible.
Best regards,
Peter
